I took a night photography class several years ago, and I was immediately hooked. I played with various methods, from star trails to light painting, but my favorite is cities at night. I like finding ways to use the existing artificial light in various locations to make images that have a graphic design aesthetic. I am more interested in how artificial light pushes away the darkness to reveal a place where the light and shadows and reflections and colors are very different than they are in the sunlight.
